Oh, and since it's a slow gossip day...

...here is a link to My Chemical Romance's website that you can listen to their latest album "The Black Parade" on. I've been babbling about this to my friends, Rick can't stop talking about it, so if you want to hear what we've been jabbering on and on about check it out.

I don't get your (and Rick's) excitement over the album. Granted, I'm not a fan of their music to begin with, but I only found the one teenagers song tolerable at all. It was all just one big bland sounding 60 minutes of repetative noise that we've heard a thousand times.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I don't think so. Still shocked that Rick likes it. The horror!

I dig "welcome to the black parade" reminds me of Queen meets a mellow Andrew wk. If you could put those together?

I personally dig the "House of Wolves" song.

"Mama" is similar to a little bizarre band called Gogol Bordello. A gypsy punk tune. Cool.

They're pop but really fun, I like to see what they do for their next album.

I don't get the punk association at all. They just sound like noise-emo to me. I'm not an old guy and I'm a huge fan of industrial, so noise and "I can't understand what you're saying!" shouldn't be a complaint of mine. But that's all I could think during the album.

They should have toned down the noise just a bit and had a greater variety in their songs. For the most part they all sounded the same.

Props for the grand attempt, but I think they fell amazingly short. I probably won't ever listen to the album again (though I'll listen to the teenager song) and that says a lot.
