My Chemical Romance: Welcome to the Black Parade
...I'm a big fan of the album, but I'm not 100% about the video. I think it's pretty, but the concept kind of becomes lost to me - I'm digging the marching band suits that look like ribcages, though. Comments?
anyone remember the whole "emo" conversation that was goin one for a day or so? this is it... i think. sad 15 year olds listen to this crap while cutting their arms. the guys with pink shirts, flock of seagull haircuts and womens pants on... when did being a pathetic whiney bitch become "cool"??? fuck man. some kid in a slayer shirt needs to go to their schools and KICK THEIR ASSES!! FUCK chemical romance!!!!! they fuckin SUCK!!!! please sarah. i listen to your show so i WONT hear this crap. everytime you think of playing that...or meat loaf.. put in Bad Religion. thank you. -cox in the couv
I can't stand My Chemical Romance and hate that some people confuse their music with "goth" stuff. I also don't know how you can call yourself a punk band when you're a bunch of flagrant metrosexuals with teased hair and designer "punk" outfits.
But that said, I'm nobody to judge someone else for the music that means something to them. If Sarah and Rick get something out of My Chemical Romance, then more power to them. And if some depressed little girl somewhere gets some hope or satisfaction or enjoyment in identifying with the music for just a bit, then good for her. I'm sure we all like music that has deep meaning and even has had serious effect on our lives that other people would make fun of or ridicule us for.
I would agree, however, that it's getting a little old to hear My Chemical Romance as bumper music every other break.
Oh well. I'm old and out of touch, so my opinion shouldn't count for much.
i guess i "sort-a" agree.... or atleast i see your point... korn was kind of the same for me in middle/ early high school... but i grew up and from album three they just started sucking more and more... no matter what you call it though, its not punk nor goth....but to finish... i hate this band..

not bad. they sound like a poor rip off of fall out boy. who is also lame but at least clever.
Not that great . . . kinda boring.
Payola?
I like the monchrome video, but the director and the band were not on the same wavelength.
