What a fun and clever stab at the idiocy of Fergie-style pop.
Not a big Alanis fan, but I appreciate that she hasn't ever really sold out to anyone and her music is thoughtful, which seems to be rare these days.
I have ten dollars that says if Rick talks about this on air, he rants about how everyone always has to mention that she wrote that one song about Dave Gouille from Full House.
That's a suckers bet, Seumas - This is one of the few bits of non-KISS music trivia that Rick knows and he clutches it like a 2 year old clinging to his mothers leg...thats why he rants about it, usually in a self loathing way..the man really needs to expand his repertoire.
Hey! She did a great job playing God in "Dogma" and didn't say a word. Rick will probably say something like "Dogma" spelled backwards is "amgod" and rant like this is brilliant and never get back to the subject of Ms. Morrisette as most twelve year olds tend to do. But I'm not about to second guess Seumas, I think he has a good bet goin'.
They just played this video on CNN and then said that while Alanis seems to be poking fun at Fergie with the video, Fergie thinks that it is supposed to be flattering, so she sent a giant cake shaped like an ass to Alanis as a "thank you".

In "Glamour", Fergie rhymes Taco Bell with raw as hell.

Meh.
I couldn't even watch it for more than a minute or two.
A cover of a crappy song is still a crappy song, only instead of just moronic and insipid, now it's whiny too.
bleccchh
@Seumas,
"lovely little lumps" has to be one of the worst phrases ever.
It sounds like she's talking about a tumor.
I have to concur. I've always found her to be kind of... horselike and unattractive. She was really cute in Dogma, though.
