I know this just represents the raping of my childhood...

...but this Transformers trailer looks really fucking rad.
I am a nerd.

Welcome to the club of those whose childhood has been raped.

I wish my childhood was raped, I can't wait for a baseball card movie, a riding bikes movie or even...... mom cut my hair movie!

Well, I wish my childhood had been raped like this (I'm pre-Transformers. Very pre-Transformers).

Never thought a movie based on "Transformers" could look so cool.

A must see!

Though I'm between your age and Rick's, Transformers weren't really part of my childhood. I could count on one or two hands the number of times I watched the cartoon, never owned the lame toys and the only thing I do recall is the movie. And the only thing I recall about that is there was a swear word (don't remember which).

So I'll download the movie on bit torrent and watch it, but not with the same scrutinous eye that Aaron will.

You know... Damn, I just don't know. Yea, it looks all kinds of fucking cool...

Ah hell, you know I will be there... Thought Seamas be correct, I will be scrutinzing the ever loving hell out of this one...

Also, the 1986 Transformers movie had a couple of swear words...

"Open dammit, open" and the ever famous "Oh, shit"!

Says volumes that it took the Robots in Disquise to get me to comment...

Maybe if the movie is good, it will open the doors to a full fledged MechWarriors style movie. THAT is something I'd actually be interested. Humans in giant robotic fighting machines like the videogame series would be more interesting than sentient, self-aware autonomous robots in disguise.

And we all know you were dying to respond to the Jake Gylenhaal thread, Aaron!

Needs to be

JEM

directed by Michael Bay

I don't think represents rape, I think it's more a like slowdancing with your grandma and oddly feeling uncomfortable.

best, trailer ever.. even if they did screw with the design of the robots..

this is the sweet spot of my childhood.. now if they would only make a live action version of Thundercats..

MUMRAAA THE EVAAA LIVVVININGGGG!!

As cool as it looks, I think it's going to be hard to make the whole "why would a robot want to transform into ANYTHING?!" part realistic.

I mean, if you were a giant fighting robot, why the fuck would you ever want to transform into a VW Beetle or a Ghetto Blaster or a handgun or a fighter jet?! Wouldn't you just always want to be a robot in robot form kicking other robot ass?

I want to cry now. So, so beautiful.

I swear if Michael Bay manages to ruin this one, I will personally kill him.

I can't wait to wear my Transformers wristwatch to the premiere! :)

They got Peter Cullen to do Optimus Prime's voice, so at least that part is faithful. I'm a total Transformers nerd and I think it'll be great fun.
